Morning and Evening Prayer
One of the enduring traditions that arose from the English
Reformation was built on the idea that scheduled daily prayer was not
simply for monasteries and convents, but also for families and
individuals. Below are links to the two most common forms of daily
prayer that include daily scriptural readings. The practice of saying
Morning and/or Evening Prayer can be very rewarding. They key is to
make these prayers your own, and not simply be reading the words. Take
your time, let your heart be engaged and, over time, this practice can
reap great rewards in your life as these prayers and readings from the Bible begin to be written on your heart.
