Open Harvest Ministries
Caring and Sharing God's Love and ProvisionsOpen Harvest Ministries, Inc. is a group of outreach ministries serving the poor, lost and needy of Southern Denton County communities. We are a Christian based organization and lead with the principles and precepts the Lord gave us in His Word.
Our purpose at OHM, Inc. is to bring comfort to those in crisis. Though we do not have all the resources and programs available to meet every need one might have while in crisis, we know there is help and hope out there. As a result we provide advocacy services for thos areas of support we do not offer directly. More importantly we offer encouragement and love for those going through a trial. We will walk along side you in your time of need.
Our only request is that the strong lift up the weak and those with resources give through us to those without resources. Everything we do and everything we offer is a gift from our Provider, and we thank Him and worship Him in our small church, The Church of Acts, every Sunday at 2:00pm.
What We Do
Open Harvest Pantry
OHP is a food pantry supported by the North Texas Food Bank and is open and available to those who are in crisis of not having enough food to feed themselves and their family. It represents the basic food categories and will not supply all of a family's food needs but it may supplement those needs up to 50%. We work closely with Christian Community Action (CCA) to not duplicate what they offer, therefore we are available to those that do not qualify or have to wait for CCA benefits. Our pantry hours are Saturday, 8:00am - 11:00am, or by appointment. Call (972) 219-7654 with any questions.
Clothing Pantry
Our Clothing Pantry is for those who need clothes and cannot afford to shop at a thrift store or regular retail. Many times it is an outfit for a job interview, or a replacement for worn or torn clothing. Our clothing is free and limited to two outfits per visit.
Social Service Advocacy
We are here for those who have needs and do not know where to go. What we do not offer ourselves, we know where to go or have people who know how to find it. We will walk along side you in your crisis and help navigate a very difficult and complex system of services to make sure you receive that for which you qualify as soon as possible.
The Church of Acts
A non Denominational Christian ministry which meets each Sunday at 2:00pm. Our goal is to bring love, hope and encouragement to the broken, poor, lost and needy of our community. We welcome the strong and the weak, the workers and those that need help. Whether you know Jesus or want to know Him, we have a seat for you. Come as you are...to worship and fellowship with God's children. The last Sunday of each month is Communion and Community, a Pot Luck dinner celebration.
